Certified Peer Support Specialist
The position is for Family Reunification CPS Court Full Time. Seeking someone with Recovery Support Peer Specialist (RSPS) Medicaid or PSS Certification with TCBAP. Only seeking serious inquiries, please. Under general supervision, the Recovery Support Services (RSS) Recovery Coach is responsible to the RSS Director. The RSS Recovery Coach must provide tracking data for sustainability of quality case management services. The RSS Recovery Coach / Peer Recovery Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring services to help clients address economic, child care, employment, education, health, housing, transportation, life skills, parenting, recovery, federal, state and local assistance, vocational assistance, GED referrals and family needs, in addition to identified substance abuse and mental health issues.
Education/Experience: A high school diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) required. Completion of RSPS/MHPS Intern Status. Previous experience in recovery and crisis intervention required. Knowledge of substance use, recovery principles/values and peer ethical standards required.
Counselor – Experienced required for Austin, Texas
Santa Maria is seeking an experienced counselor for our Caring for Two program. The CFT Parent Coach/Counselor will be responsible for outreach, education, counseling and care coordination services for families with mothers who are pregnant or have young children and who either have a past history of substance use or who are at risk for future use. Counselor will perform assessments and develop service plans in collaboration with the family, provide brief counseling and intervention services, provide individual and group parenting education and one on one parent coaching, provide care coordination in collaboration with the Recovery Coach, and other duties to ensure the health and wellness of the family. Counselor must have the ability to successfully engage and retain participants and to motivate them to adopt healthy behavioral changes. The chosen candidate will exhibit a genuine passion for serving at-risk women and families and will be comfortable actively engaging families in the home and community setting.
Skills and Qualifications: Qualified Credential Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with appropriate Texas licensure. Interns (LMSW, LPC-I) may be considered. Minimum two years experience working with women who are at risk of substance use or who have addiction or co-occurring disorders. Counselor will demonstrate solid knowledge of community resources and the recovery community. Counselor must be a team player, be committed to producing measurable outcomes in client behavior, be able to work successfully with limited supervision, and be dedicated to upholding strong ethical standards. Must be computer literate and have the ability to successfully use a variety of web based and MS Office programs. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to document clinical services according to licensure and funding standards. Position requires travel locally within the Greater Houston area and surrounding counties. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required depending on the needs of the families. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and pass a background check and urinalysis.

Director of Prevention and Intervention Services
Under limited supervision, the Director of Prevention and Intervention Services is responsible for development, growth and oversight of community-based prevention and intervention services including the Prevention Program (YPS), Caring for Two (intervention) and other related services. The Director is responsible for ensuring that services to participants are provided in a trauma-informed, culturally competent and person-centered manner where participants are treated with dignity and respect, and participants are empowered to actively participate in their recovery. The Director will promote an integrated team approach, including full integration of peer recovery support specialists and participant voice into leadership and service delivery. The Director is responsible for conveying and implementing a service philosophy founded in brain science, recognizing the importance of both responding to trauma and preventing trauma from occurring in the next generation through building safe, nurturing caregiver relationships, addressing social determinants of health/non-medical drivers of health, and driving change both on the individual and systems levels. The Director plays a major role in community relationship building and collaborative efforts to build family well-being and resiliency for families impacted by or at risk for substance use. This position interacts closely with medical/hospital, school/education, criminal justice and child welfare systems in addition to the substance use treatment field.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a human services related field of study or Master’s degree in related field (i.e. social work, counseling). Two or more years’ related experience and/or training preferably in substance use treatment services. Previous management experience in the human services field with program administration (budget management, resource development, program implementation).
Compensation $60,000-$70,000

Driver – Van Driver
Under general supervision, the Van Driver is primarily responsible for transporting clients. Van Drivers are also responsible for supply pickups, general vehicle cleanliness and routine maintenance. Van Drivers may perform duties of a Recovery Advocate.

LCDC Counselor – Bilingual
Under general supervision, the Counselor is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and monitoring of clinical services provided to residents. In addition, the Counselor maintains a caseload of patients. This position is subject to working evenings and weekends.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in criminal justice, counseling or related field from four-year college or university; or four years’ directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years’ experience in substance abuse treatment desirable.
Certificates and Licenses: Must have current Counselor license from Texas Department of State and Health Services. Drug and Alcohol Counselor Licensure (LCDC) plus two (2) years’ experience working in social services field.
Recovery Advocate
Working under general supervision, the Recovery Advocate is responsible for supporting the admission of clients while ensuring the safety of staff and the clients. The Recovery Advocate is responsible for monitoring the Recovery Advocate station 24/7 and for maintaining its appearance. This position is subject to working overtime as needed and to remain past shift until replacement coverage has arrived.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience in and/or training clinical aspects of the job; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Recovery Coach

The Recovery Coach/Peer Support Specialist provides outreach, education, peer support, and care coordination/navigation services for pregnant and postpartum women (with a child up to 18 months of age) who have a past history of substance use or who are at risk of future use and their families. This position requires extensive travel across the greater Austin area and surrounding counties, including occasional evening and weekend hours based on participant needs.
The CFT RC is responsible for engaging participants and ensuring services that support participants’ ability to enter into and sustain longer term recovery and wellness. RC assists participants to identify and meet recovery and wellness goals, identify and cultivate strengths and supports, overcome barriers and improve recovery capital in the areas of health, home, community and purpose including: recovery from substance use, physical and mental health, economic stability, employment, education and vocational goals, housing, transportation, life skills, parenting, family support, positive social connections and activities, community integration and peer leadership. The Recovery Coach must provide tracking data for sustainability of quality services.
Responsible for pre and post admission engagement and provision of recovery support services in individual and group settings for current and potential participants in the pre-admission/waitlist phase through admissions, formal treatment and community integration settings, including: face-to-face and telephone coaching, developing individualized recovery plans, coordinating resource referrals/linkages, conducting recovery support groups, and outreach and engagement.
Education/Experience:
A high school diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) required. Two years’ related experience and/or training working with women who are at risk of substance use or who have addiction or co-occurring disorders strongly preferred. One to three months’ experience with 500 hours and 250 supervised hours of directly related experience and/or training required.
