Chief Development and Communication Officer
MUST HAVE NON PROFIT FUNDRAISING EXPERIENCE AT DIRECTOR OR ABOVE LEVEL
Position Summary: Under limited supervision, the Chief Development Communication Officer (CDCO) fosters a culture of philanthropy within the organization. In addition, the CDCO assures that the organization’s corporate culture, systems and procedures support fund development. The CDCO leads staff and volunteers to institutionalize philanthropy and fund development within the organization. This position is responsible for short- and long-term planning, evaluation, marketing and financial management, coordinating and assuring implementation of strategies to develop donors and contributions to support the organization; assures development and maintenance of appropriate systems to fund development including but not limited to volunteer and donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing and recognition. The CDO is responsible for implementation of all aspects of donor relations, special events, volunteer management, PR/communications, and individual, foundation and corporate giving. The CDCO maintains accountability and compliance standards for donors and funding sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provides vital input in sort and long term strategic and operational planning and positioning within the organization.
- In conjunction with the appropriate parties, develops and implements an annual fundraising and communications plan that fits within the larger vision, mission and strategic plan of the organization. Plans and executes fundraising special events and giving campaigns. Cultivates and grows individual, foundation, corporation/organization/church donor base and sustains those relationships. Responsible for private grant-writing. Oversees volunteer management and grows community partnerships.
- Ensures that philanthropy and fund development are carried out in keeping with the organization’s values, mission, vision and plans.
- Assists the organization in communicating its mission and services in a way that is impactful and resonates with the larger community and potential donors/partners.
- Provides general oversight of all of the organization’s fund development activities, manages the day-to-day operations of the development function, and monitors adequacy of activities through coordination with staff, appropriate committees and the governing body.
Child Care Provider
The Childcare Provider is responsible for maintaining all records, attendance and timesheets. Completes assessments of all infants and children as assigned.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience in and/or training clinical aspects of the job; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires skills in child and infant care.
Contract COPSD Counselor
For our Residential female treatment Center located in Northwest Houston. Candidate must be licensed. LCDC or LPC with Dual Diagnosis experiences. Candidate must be familiar with CMBHS and must have computer skills. Salary is based on experience.
Counselor – Parent Coach
Santa Maria Hostel is seeking an experienced counselor for our Pregnancy and Postpartum Intervention program. The PPI Parent Coach will be responsible for outreach, education, counseling and case management services for pregnant and post partum women who either have a past history of substance use or who are at risk for future use. Counselor must have the ability to successfully engage and retain clients and to motivate them to adopt healthy behavioral changes, and be experienced in trauma informed care. The chosen candidate will exhibit a genuine passion for serving at-risk women and families. Skills and Qualifications: Qualified Credential Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) with appropriate Texas licensure. Interns (LMSW, LPC-I) may be considered. Minimum two years experience working with women who are at risk of substance use or who have addiction or co-occurring disorders.
Kitchen Cook
Working under general supervision, the Kitchen Cook is responsible for food preparation and for maintaining food safety and sanitation standards in the preparation and kitchen areas. This position is an integral part of presenting quality meal service to the clients and their children. Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as assigned. Previous food preparation experience required.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Food Manager Certification from the City of Houston or ability to obtain certification within approved period of time.
LCDC Counselor
Under general supervision, the Counselor is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and monitoring of clinical services provided to residents. In addition, the Counselor maintains a caseload of patients. This position is subject to working evenings and weekends.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in criminal justice, counseling or related field from four-year college or university; or four years’ directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years’ experience in substance abuse treatment desirable.
Certificates and Licenses: Must have current Counselor license from Texas Department of State and Health Services. Drug and Alcohol Counselor Licensure (LCDC) plus two (2) years’ experience working in social services field.
LCDC DETOX Counselor (part time)
Recovery Advocate
Working under general supervision, the Recovery Advocate is responsible for supporting the admission of clients while ensuring the safety of staff and the clients. The Recovery Advocate is responsible for monitoring the Recovery Advocate station 24/7 and for maintaining its appearance. This position is subject to working overtime as needed and to remain past shift until replacement coverage has arrived.
