Allison Iraheta, an American Idol Finalist performed at Bonita House
Bonita House was turned into a perfect stage where Allison Iraheta (an American Idol Finalist) performed with her Halo Circus Band on Wednesday July 5th 2017. This concert was a great opportunity for our clients and their families to enjoy and make positive memories.
Special thanks to Lisa Carpenter, one of our Board Members and to Stage Stores for organizing the cookout and all the activities planned around the concert.

Santa Maria Celebrates Recovery
Santa Maria clients and staff from all of our three residences including outpatient, along with other Santa Maria alumni and PAC members gathered on June 10th to celebrate Recovery! Over 250 people participated in this festive and family oriented event where several activities were planed to make sure everyone had a great time. This was the 1st. Annual Recovery Appreciation Day and Crawfish Broil at Santa Maria and we are looking forward to many more. By celebrating people in recovery our goal is to promote prevention and strengthen the message that recovery in all its forms is possible.
We’d like to send a huge thank you to all of the Santa Maria staff, volunteers and organizations that assisted and contributed with donations to make possible this great event!
Thank you for making our 2017 Luncheon a big success!
Our sincere gratitude to each of our sponsors, donors, honorees, guests, and volunteers for helping to make this special event such a success!
With your support we will continue to change the lives of women who are living with addiction and trauma and provide women and children with the care, support, stability, and healing they need as part of a family in recovery.
We were excited to honor Sheriff Ed Gonzalez for his steadfast commitment to addressing mental health, trauma and addiction issues within the public safety arena, including his role in developing Houston’s Sobering Center and his initiatives to combat human trafficking.

Spring 2017
MLK special celebration at Santa Maria
A wonderful group of volunteers helped us to start off this day with a presentation about the history and impact of Martin Luther King Jr in the USA. This was a great presentation that focused on the importance of peaceful communication, cooperation and collaboration in our communities.
Later in the evening the celebration continued thanks to the Scott Family who are the generous donors that provided a catered meal for our clients at Bonita House, as well as for some of the residents who were transported from Jacquelyn House. In this way, everyone was able to enjoy the special performance of the talented singer and Houston native, Mary Griffin! Her presentation was truly inspirational.
