We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority members who orchestrated a fun and meaningful Attitude of Gratitude Fair for Santa Maria's Women with Chidlren participants.
On Saturday November 11th an army of gracious volunteers brought gifts of gratitude to Santa Maria participants at the Attitude of Gratitude Fair. The event was one they are sure to remember for quite some time. With a professional photographer and a beautiful fall back drop each participant was able to have a photo taken with their children just for them. In addition older children crafted photoframes as gifts to their mothers.
The participants in the Women with Children program created gratitude jars to hold reminders of what they are grateful for. In addition they crafted unique vision boards showcasing their gratitude along wtih their goals for the future. Each participant was able to showcase their vision board to the group in a personalized fashion show style conclusion to this fun and meaningful event.
Santa Maria would like to offer a special thanks to the members of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority for their generosity of numerous gifts of essential items for our participants, including baby items for our youngest residents.
