Sweet As Can Bee
How can a traditional event be warm and welcoming, filled with fun and games, decorated with a spectacular theme AND be educational? Leave it to Zeta Phi Beta, Omicron Chapter!
Knowing that every pregnant woman and newborn mama needs both support and celebration, this amazing group of women staged the “Sweet as can Bee” baby shower for our participants in WWC! Every detail was complete and included videos from lactation specialists at LBJ Hospital and a Safe Sleep message brought into the room virtually from Dr. Farah McCorvey.
There were also the traditional shower games, box lunch, lemonade, special prizes, beautiful cupcakes and the fabulous décor all over the room with an uplifting honeybee theme. One competitive game of FACT or FICTION had our hostess, and pediatrician, Dr. Ebony Boudreaux Williams reading out new baby scenarios that featured a chance to learn about everyday safety and bonding tips to make the first year together a wonderful one for our participants.
Our thanks to the Zeta Phi Betas and their president, Ebony Baylor for producing such a memorable and touching afternoon. Love you, ladies of Omicron!

Worthy Of Love Inaugural Houston Celebration at Santa Maria
Worthy of Love is a Los Angeles based nonprofit, founded in 2013, and has the vision of a world where every child can celebrate major life milestones, regardless of their financial background or living environment. In light of this vision Worthy of Love hosts a festive and joyous birthday party for children.
Santa Maria is overjoyed to have been chosen as the first ever Houston based host site for Worthy of Love events. Below are a few photos showcasing the inaugural celebration. All of the Santa Maria participants received a beautiful celebration to make them feel Worthy of Love.
